Cover the bases with Outwell Tents

As manufacturers of some of the most innovative and practical camping equipment, Outwell is a brand that delivers a great deal to its customers. As camping and outdoor experiences increase in popularity throughout the UK, Outwell has come up with a host of ideal solutions throughout its range.

Having provided an excellent brand to the market for over a quarter of a century, Outwell continues to refine their products. Thanks to this concentration on the task in hand, the range provides solutions no matter what the need. Whether it is for rugged enthusiasts clinging to a sloping crag, or festival goers looking to escape the drizzle and mud, there is something more than suitable.

It is no surprise that Outwell tents are made from only the very latest materials. However, they are constructed in such a way that means they perform better than reasonably expected. With a sense of safety and security too of course, they answer all the basic questions with ease.

The overriding success of Outwell comes from their attention to detail regarding comfort and function; often working hand in hand. This is certainly the case with the Outwell Sealed Ground System they employ, and innovative rain doors which allow much needed ventilation and access, but keep the internal workings safe and dry.

Another great addition is with the carpet, which make things just a little more cosy and comfortable as you wake up for another day doing whatever it is you do. To keep things safe and secure, even through the inclement British summer, the Outwell Power Stability ensures things are kept firmly attached to terra firma.

At the entry level, Outwell provide a great solution for quick and effortless erection, with the wonderful Smart Tunnels. A pop-up range, it is great for those just starting to learn the great and fun world of outdoor life, but does so with no major outlay. For this reason too, it makes an excellent alternative to cheap and “fly-away” onetime use festival tents.

In addition, Outwell provides some ideal solutions for the family who likes to camp together. The fantasy range is ideal in this respect, with a number of capacities and colours, and all the design features you would expect. Particularly excellent in this range is the attention to detail given to the kids bedroom, with its incorporated games.

The range also includes an excellent cotton tent range – the Yukon. In the mid-range price bracket, this allows a little more comfort and practicality without having to enter the deluxe range. Ideal for those families who are serious but not fanatical about camping, the range is available up to six-man berth capacities.

Deciding which tent to opt for, whether for your festival fun or family holiday, can be a little tricky, particularly with such a vast range as provided by the likes of Outwell. For expert help and dedicated customer care, at Outdoor World Direct our team will ensure you make the most of a life outdoors.

What You Need to Know Before You Buy a Massage Chair

What You Need to Know Before You Buy a Massage Chair

A large number of people are nowadays buying massage chairs for health and relaxation reasons. If you are also thinking of investing in one, then you should at least be aware of certain important facts about massage chairs. Massage chairs are not cheap by any standards and you ought to be clear about your requirements, needs and your budget before you go for buying a massage chair. Some of the main things that you need to know before you buy a massage recliner or chair are:

What are the advantages of using a massage chair?

A massage chair can give you a full body massage in the comfort of your own home when you need it. Apart from helping in relieving both mental and physical stress and tension, a massage chair helps in alleviating body aches and pains, improves blood circulation, reduces high blood pressure and helps in rejuvenating your body after a hectic day at work. Regular use of a massage chair helps in improving your over all flexibility and makes for healthier muscles.

What are the different types of massage chairs?

Massage chairs are broadly divided into Shiatsu massage chairs and Swedish massage chairs. Opinion is divided as to which one is the best massage chair. A Swedish massage chair combines kneading movements with long, smooth strokes during a massage while a Shiatsu massage chair combines patting, pressing, swaying, and rolling movements while targeting the pressure points all over the body. In both cases, a good massage chair will provide you with complete muscle relaxation and freedom from body aches and pain.

What are the features that you should look for in a massage chair?

Massage chairs range from basic to highly feature laden models and the more features you want in your chair, the more dough you will need to shell out. So it is better to decide on the number of features that you are actually going to need or use and then pick a massage recliner that provides you with only those features. Almost all massage chairs come with a number of different massage options and speeds, but most people end up using only two to three such options. So, you really do not need to go for a chair that offers too many massage options that you might not want to use.

People suffering from shoulder and neck aches need to invest in a massage chair that has particular programs for the neck and shoulder area. Similarly massage chairs with airbags in the foot or leg area are beneficial for people who suffer from pains in the lower extremities and muscle and joint pain in the legs. You may want to consider massage chairs with airbags. There are massage chairs with air systems for the buttocks and hip area. The best massage chairs in the market come with airbags for all possible body parts, but these are generally costlier than basic models. Many massage chairs do not offer a raised foot rest, which can be uncomfortable for people who are used to sitting with their legs raised while on a chair. Others might offer a massage that is too low in intensity, which after using for a few months will not be effective in relieving aches and pains. Remember that you will need to use a massage chair for at least twenty minutes to half and hour in order to benefit from your massage and therefore, it is advised that you sit in a massage chair for at least twenty minutes before you make the decision to buy.

How To Design Your Own Cotton Bag for Life

How To Design Your Own Cotton Bag for Life

Use of Cotton Bags for Life has increased in recent years due to their positive influence on the environment in terms of lowering waste . Many responsible shoppers are now using re-usable cotton bags for their shopping and large stores actively sell them over the counter in a bid to reduce the number of carrier bags given to customers. Plain bags are normally sold for their nominal sum, but if you want to standout from the crowd, bags with design could fetch considerably more. Another option which is much cheaper and more special is to design your very own bag for life, using your very own creative skills and your home printer. Let’s get to work.

How To Design Your Own Cotton Bag for Life:

A. Purchase a Plain Cotton Bag – The first step is to purchase a plain re-usable and biodegradable bag from your local store. You might want to purchase a pack of at least 5 bags to apply different designs and to experiment.

B. Prepare Your Design – Not only images could be applied on the bag, but also text using notepad or Word. If you decided to print an image onto the bag, download an image to your computer and ensure the quality is high, the image isn’t pixelated and that you are allowed to use the image.

C. Purchase Transfer Paper – Using your own home or office printer, the design should be printed onto a special transfer paper to finally ironed on the bag. Transfer paper also known as iron on paper is available for light or dark cotton bags.

D. Iron The Design Onto The Bag – The most important phase is delivering the design from the transfer paper to the bag and it includes the following steps.

Step 1 – Set your printer to work optimally with the type of paper you bought. For HP printers choose iron on paper (can be found under special paper), for Epson printers choose plain paper and tick ‘flip horizontal’ to create a mirror image and for Canon printers choose iron on t shirt paper

Step 2 – Lay the bag on to a stable hard surface (not an ironing board) and using a hot iron with a min 1200w iron the transfer paper all over for a few seconds to fix it on to the bag. Iron systematically in small cycles every part of the transfer, spending 5-10 seconds in each position.

Step 3 – Peel off the backing material and the bag is ready.

Enjoy your cotton bag for life.

What To Look For When Buying a New Oven

What To Look For When Buying a New Oven

An oven is one of the most common kitchen appliance that is used in various forms of cooking, such as the following:

Heating
Baking
Broiling
Roasting

Ovens are generally grouped into 2 common kinds: gas ovens and electric ovens. Then there are also microwave ovens (uses microwave radiation to cook or heat food) and convection ovens (uses a circulating fan to move hot air around the food inside the oven).

With this range of choices, not to mention the variety of features and designs available in ovens, shopping for one can be a difficult task. Below are some guidelines that you need to consider – helpful hints that will help you buy the right oven.

1. The location. Whether ‘freestanding’ (set in a range) or ‘built-in’ in walls (known as wall ovens), make sure that you measure the size of the oven against the location where you plan to have it installed. The location should not only have enough space; it should also be sturdy enough to support the unit.

2. The capacity. The “actual” size of the oven is defined by its capacity. The oven capacity refers to the amount of food or the size of the container that it can hold. The ‘size’, therefore, that you need to consider when buying an oven is the size of its interior (the cavity). Note that some ovens seem large on the outside but are actually smaller inside.

There are many things to consider when deciding on a particular oven capacity to buy. Some of them are the following:

Family size:

The amount of food you need to cook at one time (i.e., the oven capacity) depends on the number of people in your family. Below are some of the recommended oven capacity (in liters) for various family sizes (denoted by the number of members):

2 members – less than 29 liters
4 members – 20 to 29 liters
6 members – more than 30 liters

Usage:

The oven capacity should also depend on how you intend to use the oven. An oven that will be used for actual and all types of cooking will naturally require a higher capacity than that which shall be used as a mere supplement (such as defrosting or reheating food).

Cookware:

Make sure that the dishes (such as baking sheet, pan, and other cookware) that you regularly use will fit comfortably (and circulate freely) inside the oven.

3. The controls.

The control panel is where you manage and control the functions and operations of your oven, which can be any of the following:

Analog – mechanical switches that use knobs. Are less expensive but more durable; can also be less precise, since everything is set manually.
Digital – electronically-controlled push buttons. The most common nowadays, they can be more expensive and less durable; but they have more accurate and precise settings, since everything is set automatically.

Different ovens have various (and sometimes complicated) control panels, but all of them generally include these basic components:

Clock or timer displays – properly sets the length of time for cooking
Temperature settings – allows you to set the temperature for cooking.
Thermostat – senses and maintains a set temperature to stop or further the flow of heat. This prevents an overcooked food and an overheated oven.
Oven light – enables you to see the interior of the oven to check the status of the food the you are cooking.

4. Additional components. Some ovens may come with additional components, such as the following:

Oven rack – allows you to place more than one dish in the oven at the same time; should be thick and durable.
Rotisserie – a removable grill with a turning spit; for better and uniform grilling.

5. The add-on features. In addition to the basic functions, most ovens today are designed with additional (and advanced) features, some of which are as follows:

Clear-view window – it enables you to watch the cooking process without having to open the door.
Self-cleaning option – found at the control panel, pushing this button enables the oven to clean itself.
Lockout feature – can be a button in the control panel or a door lock switch, it prevents misuse or unintended and accidental operations, especially when cleaning the control panel or when there are children in the house.

6. The price. Of course, everything is greatly affected by the price, so it is important for you to set the amount that you would like to spend.

With these guidelines, you will surely be able to find the oven that is perfect for your money’s worth.

How Do Massage Chairs Differ From Regular Treatment Tables?

How Do Massage Chairs Differ From Regular Treatment Tables?

As a massage therapist, you likely wonder which equipment is the best for your business. Perhaps you have seen massage chairs and treatment tables and wondered if there was a benefit of one product over the other. Both massage chairs and treatment tables have benefits, so you will need to evaluate your business’s needs when choosing between these products.

Main Differences Between the Two

There are several main differences between massage tables and massage chairs. First, massage chairs can be portable, whereas massage tables are stationary for the most part. Portable tables do exist, but are not as common as portable chairs. Massage tables require patients to lie down in order to receive a massage. Massage chairs allow patients to receive massage therapy from a seated position. Finally, when you give a massage with a massage chair, you will not have to bend over quite as far as you will with a table.

Benefits of Massage Chairs

Massage chairs have many benefits over massage tables. They are far more portable than tables. Whether you are visiting a local fair or taking your business into corporate offices or malls, you can do this so much easier with a massage chair.

Also, massage chairs allow you to give a massage to someone while they are fully clothed. Some patients are uncomfortable removing their clothing for a massage, even though you handle the massage as a trained professional. With a massage chair, this is no longer an issue.

You will not have to bend over as far when you use a massage chair. This can make it easier on your back to give the massage. Sometimes bending over the massage table creates strain on your back, and this is limited somewhat with a massage chair.

Benefits of Massage Tables

Massage tables also have many benefits as well. Because clients usually remove their clothing to receive a massage on the table, you can use therapeutic oils to help the muscles relax. Also, you will have easier access to the major muscle groups with a table.

Some massage chairs, particularly portable ones, do not hold up well under the repeated strain that comes from multiple clients. Keep in mind that you may have some clients that are overweight, and your massage apparatus needs to be able to withstand this weight. Massage tables, particularly permanent ones, tend to be sturdier and can handle the stress of repeated usages much better than chairs.

Massage tables are made out of one main surface. This makes them easier to disinfect between clients. There are fewer crevices and folds in a massage table than in a massage chair.

Special Types of Massage Chairs

If you decide that massage chairs are the best fit for your business, or if you decide to use both chairs and tables for your business, you should know that there are a variety of massage chairs on the market. Portable massage chairs are made out of aluminum so they are strong while at the same time lightweight. They can be adjusted when you set them up to accommodate patients of different shapes and sizes.

You can also choose a desktop massage chair. If you visit offices to deliver your services, this can help. These chairs sit on the top of your client’s desk or any other flat surface in the office. You can deliver your massage without taking too much time out of the client’s day.

Finally, you can choose on-site massage chairs. These are more durable than portable chairs. They also can be adjusted for different sized clients. If you wish to give seated massages at your clinic, this is the type of chair to use.

Whether you use a chair or a table, you are providing important services to your clients as a massage therapist. Take the time to evaluate the differences between massage chairs and tables. Then you will be able to decide which is best for your business.

Bath Toys And Caring Tips

Bath Toys And Caring Tips

Both you and your kid adore bath toys. Your kid loves it because they’re fun to play with and they make him forget that taking a bath is sometimes scary. You love it because it keeps your baby occupied while you get done with your thorough baby bathing duty.

Because bath toys have inevitably become an important part of your baby’s bath routine, it is just reasonable that you take good care of his bath toys.

First tip: Clean the bath toys regularly. Even though bath toys gets to have a bath too when your kid does, it doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get their own time slot for cleaning. Oftentimes, when your kid takes a bath and plays with his bath toy, there are soap residues left in the bath toy that you may not be able to rinse out because of course, it’s your baby who’s needless to say is the star of the show and whom you’re focused on.

So after your baby’s done with his bath, don’t forget to wash the bath toys with water thoroughly to rinse out any soap residue. Clean water-retaining toys at least once a week with a mixture of one part chlorine bleach to fifteen parts of water. Be sure to rinse thoroughly to avoid bacteria build-up that can cause infections.

Second tip: Air dry the bath toys or dry them under the sun. Especially those that are made of cloth should never be left lying around all wet and cold. Not only would they acquire an unpleasant smell, the dampness may cause for it to accumulate mildew and bacteria which you certainly don’t want to reside in any of your kid’s toys.

Third tip: Disapprove any untoward behavior towards the toy. Frown on activities that involve chewing, banging or throwing around the toy. Even though your baby may be too young to understand the value of his possessions like his toys, it’s not too early to begin to discipline him.

When he starts to bang his toy or try to bite the head off his Octopus Bath Puppet, what you can do is to gently take the toy away and then firmly say, “No, don’t harm your toy.” If he cries, don’t just give the toy right away and let him do it again. Repeat taking away the toy and saying the same thing until he gets that you mean what you say. If you see that he treats the toy differently, be generous with praises and hugs and kisses to reinforce the proper behaviour.

Fourth tip: Alternate different bath toys so that they would not be easily worn out. If you give your kid the same bath toy over and over, not only would he be bored with it eventually but it will also fray the toy more easily.

Fifth tip: Store the bath toys properly. Don’t leave them lying around where your dog can bite on them or your baby’s older siblings can go get them. Store them in a mesh bag or a dry container.

Taking care of your baby’s bath toys is important to ensure that they stay in top shape and enjoy more baths with your little one.

Competitive, Cheap Van Insurance

Competitive, Cheap Van Insurance

There are many different factors which will influence the cost of competitive, cheap van insurance. Smaller vans are less expensive to insure than transit vans. They are deemed by many insurance companies to be easy to handle and therefore less likely to be involved in an accident. The age of the van driver will also influence the cost of the insurance premiums.

Young drivers, which typically refers to the under 25s, are thought to be a higher risk which can increase the cost of the van insurance quite considerably. Whereas older drivers have more driving experience and are less likely to drive recklessly! It is not only the age of the driver which influences the insurance premiums, the age of the van is also taken into consideration by the insurance companies.

Another factor which is relative to the cost is where in the country you live. Those who live in large cities are thought to be faced with more risks due to such things as the amount of traffic, theft and vandalism. This means the cost of the insurance is generally higher in cities than for those who live in rural areas.

Private van insurance is not necessarily less expensive that business insurance. The key factor is to make sure that the insurance is ‘fit for purpose’. If you are using a van for work then you will need to give consideration to including insurance for tools and equipment, as well as insurance for “Goods in Transit” if you are being paid or rewarded for carrying goods for a third party.

There are a number of things you can do to help get cheap van insurance. Adding a company logo to the van can lower the cost. This is because the insurance companies will regard your van as an important part of your enterprise which you need to continue working with and will therefore, be considered to take fewer risks.

Fitting immobilisers and alarms is also considered to be an effective way to deter opportunist thieves or indiscriminate vandalism. Keeping a van in a garage overnight and adding stickers informing would be thieves that nothing is kept on-board overnight may also help reduce attempted theft. These measures may not necessarily lower the insurance costs however.

Some van insurers will also take no claims discounts gained from cars into consideration, which will further help to reduce the costs of the insurance. Lighter weight vans driven by the over 25s will also make a huge impact on the cost of insurance. Furthermore older drivers who can provide evidence of previously driving company vehicles may be rewarded with further discounts by some insurance companies.

Choosing cheap van insurance may seem more detailed than it actually is! The important factor to remember is to inform the insurers what you are using the van for, private use or business. Also use some, if not all of the suggestions to help lower the cost. Give consideration to breakdown and windscreen insurance cover if this is not included with the insurance policy and premiums to keep your van on the road and you in business.

Staveley Head is committed to provide you with cheap van insurance to fulfil all your coverage needs so you can drive worry free.

If drivers who have taken a drivers education or safety course have fewer accidents, an insurer may discount that. Likewise, some cars are cheaper to repair, or do not get involved in high claims accidents. Those vehicles will cost less to insure. Insurance companies try to use their past…
