How To Integrate An LED, LCD Or Plasma Screen Into A Pop Up Stand

How To Integrate An LED, LCD Or Plasma Screen Into A Pop Up Stand

With thousands of systems sold annually, pop up stands are by far the most popular type of portable display stand on the market.

Pop up stands are lightweight frameworks, typically constructed from aluminium tubing that can be collapsed for transport and storage. Most customers brand pop up displays by ‘skinning’ them with a series of rollable panels that are adhered to the structure by means of a magnetic tape.

Although in itself a pop up stand will create an eyecatching backwall display for exhibition or retail purposes, the effect can be enhanced further with the addition of a screen in the format of an LED, LCD or Plasma display.

There are three systems available that will allow the integration of an AV screen onto a pop up display and these systems are outlined as follows:-

1. The EXPUSMK2 bracket from UK manufacturer, Ultima is designed to accommodate a screen with a maximum size of 21″. The fitting comprises of a single aluminium bar that fit vertically over one box section of the pop up stand frame. Currently, this bracket is designed to fit only pop up stands manufactured by Ultima.

2. The Expand monitor stand is a Swedish designed, free standing monitor mount that can also be integrated with a pop up stand. The Expand mount is positioned behind the skin on the pop up display and a small aperture panel cut through the printed material. A standard VESA mount enables a screen with a span of up to 32″ to be hung directly onto the mount in-front of the graphic skin.

3. For larger screens, the DEXS style pop up display stand monitor mount is available from Printdesigns. Capable up supporting a screen up to 60″ wide, the system is built from extruded aluminium and is assembled with a multi-tool in around 15 minutes. The skin of the pop up display must be cut-out at approprate points to allow the monitor bracket to interface with the stand and cutting templates are available.

The ability to mount such an AV display onto pop up stands allows exhibitors to engage more effectively with customers by using interactive presentations and even new 3D effects.

With many businesses now caught in a battle to attract maximum attention whilst at trade shows, the implementation of 3D images into a moving display by mounting a compatible screen onto a pop up stand is becoming a realistic option for many exhibitors.

Printdesigns are a large format and display company based in the UK and established in 1999. We are suppliers of portable marketing display stands for retail display, exhibitions, trade shows and events.

Our range of display systems includes portable pop up stands, banner stands, roller banners and pop up exhibition stands.

Buying Hardwood Flooring in Toronto

Buying Hardwood Flooring in Toronto

It’s easy to get overwhelmed when you are looking for the right material of hardwood flooring in Toronto, there are so many options, making it very hard to choose one. There a couple of things that you may want to consider to help you with finding the right hardwood flooring. You need to know what you are looking for first, you don’t want them to lead you into something you are not interested in, and then you have to do your research. It’s important that you are well informed before you go into the store or distributor, so you get the best material to match your needs.

There are many different hardwood floor materials, adding to the complication of the purchase. There are softer and harder hardwood flooring materials, and you need to consider where the flooring will be installed. It all depends on the location of the room, the humidity of the atmosphere around, and the use of the room itself. You may want sturdier wood for rooms which get a lot of traffic, or if you are looking for a very nice look for an area which will not get so much traffic you may want to consider bamboo, it’s beautiful, but very soft wood. Online there are plenty of distributors offering images of hardwood floors and materials, if you see something you like, look up the material and its quality. Read up on the upkeep, longevity, and overall strength of the wood.

Once you have decided on one or a couple of different materials, it’s time to get a feel for them. Head to your local hardwood flooring store or distributor. You don’t necessarily have to purchase from them, you just want to get a feel for the material. Most distributors and stores have samples of just about every material out there. Ask specifically about the materials that you were interested in and see if they have any suggestions of similar materials. Ask questions and really explore your options. You want to be completely informed about what you are getting yourself into.

At this point you should have chosen, or at least be close to finding the right hardwood floor material you want. If you don’t plan on installing the flooring yourself, hire a professional, which in most cases will be able to find and have the material you have decided on ready. Make sure that you speak to them about their opinion on the material you have chosen and if it’s the best choice for you. Hear them out, and if necessary do your research again should they say that it’s not appropriate for your needs. In most cases the specialists that actually install the hardwood floor are best informed as they have direct and personal experience with the material.

As you can see, there are hardwood floors for different uses, locations, and traffic, and you need to be aware of the material best suited for your needs, and of course, your style. The material is easy to find, and being aware of the kind of the choices will make it easier to find the kind of hardwood flooring in Toronto you want to install.

How To Use A Recruitment Agency

How To Use A Recruitment Agency

Those in the recruitment industry will happily profess that is currently booming. Seemingly most high streets have at least one agency if not more advertising jobs and recruiting workers for a number of industry sectors. When you are searching for work, or even searching for an employee it is always a difficult decision which agency to use, if using an agency at all. For those hunting for jobs it is important to realise that a recruitment agency is not there to pursue jobs and act as your personal recruiter. In most cases you will be put on their books, and told if any job come up that match your criteria.

The recruitment agency is there not to find work for job hunters but to provide candidates for employers. It is important to understand this relationship; ultimately agencies are working for employers, not job hunters. If you do sign up with an agent, it is vital that you keep up your own job hunting efforts, not only will this help you to find jobs, but can also help you instruct the agent what types of jobs to pursue. As a job hunter it is also important to keep in regular contact with your recruitment agent, by staying at the forefront of their mind you may find more job offers rolling in.

When you are searching for jobs it is often the case that the same job will be advertised week in, week out. If your agency is doing this you should probably avoid their services. This can indicate that the agent is not proactive about their recruiting and simply uses a database of jobs to attract new recruits. Like much of life, if you find an agent that promises the world, you will probably be disappointed with the eventual results.

When you have signed up to an agency and have been given possible jobs it is important to find out everything you can about a job. Getting all of the details is essential, most agencies will be happy to give you information on the salary, where the job is and what kind of size the business is. Do not be put out however if the agent cannot supply the business’ name, often companies do not want their name given in recruitment information. This is normal, but if the previous information is not available be wary of the position and the agent more generally.

Whenever you are signing any documentation it is important to read and understand the intricacies of the contract. If you do not understand the contract fully, ask the agency to explain it and how it affects you, most reputable operators will give you a full explanation; if you still do not understand the fine print it may be worth talking to a legal professional to give a full and unbiased explanation.

When you have been given a job offer the recruitment agent should be able to supply you with a written copy of any relevant information pertaining to the position. This can be useful if you are going for an interview as it can allow you to research the position and get an idea of the responsibilities and duties involved. This can be beneficial as it makes you appear more knowledgeable and hence more employable at the interview. Also, do not let the agency pressure you into a job you do not want, it may be advisable to go to the interview for the practice but if you ultimately do not want a job, do not take it.

Most recruitment agencies work hard to find suitable jobs for their clients and help employees find the best candidates. Hopefully this information should help job hunters find the right job and employers fin that perfect candidate.

Christening Gifts for Boys – Five original and lasting ideas

Christening Gifts for Boys – Five original and lasting ideas

Everybody will tell you that men are difficult to buy gifts for. Apart from opting for the odd power tool or item of clothing, we all have problems choosing an appropriate gift for men. That’s probably the reason why they end up with so many socks and stockpiles of aftershave.

Well, funnily enough, the problem starts early in life. For instance, consider the Christening … nobody ever worries about what to get a little girl for her Christening. Little girls are easy. On top of all the traditional Christening gifts there are plenty of pretty little cross necklaces and pendants to choose from, or bracelets and bangles, charms for her memory box and mementos for her dressing table. Little boys on the other hand pose more of a problem, so here’s a quick overview of five Christening gifts for little boys that cover a range of budgets, but that in every case have meaning and longevity.

In the same way that a Christening reflects the hopes of friends and family for a child’s life, so too, a Christening gift should last a lifetime, always reminding the recipient of the day and the giver. So, the most popular gift is always a Christening Bible.

Christening Bibles come in many shapes and sizes from morocco-bound leather King James versions to illustrated Good News Bibles. One traditional preference is the King James Version of the Bible with a sterling silver front piece, or plaque, designed with a silver cross. Such an impressive gift will be read and treasured throughout life and quickly become an heirloom for future generations.

Silver has been associated with Christenings since Tudor times and is a recurring theme in many gifts. For this reason, a Silver St Christopher Pendant is a popular boy’s Christening Gift that has similar resonance to a Bible whilst accommodating a smaller budget. St Christopher is not only the patron saint of travelers, he is also seen as an adult guide for a child, offering protection throughout life’s journey. A silver St Christopher pendant is a great gift, full of meaning. It is often enhanced by engraving the reverse with initials and the date of the Christening.

Another popular Christening gift for boys is a silver tankard, mug or cup. Since Victorian times these have often been given as miniature scaled down designs presented in hinged display boxes. In recent times, with the price of silver more than doubling in the last two years, full sized silver tankards have become prohibitively expensive and less and less common as Christening gifts.

More secular gifts for boys also include a set of silver cufflinks. Once again, this is a lasting gift that will be kept and used throughout life. Engraved with the owner’s initials, this is a very personal gift. However, cufflinks can also carry a message or symbol, so a common gift is a set of cufflinks in the shape of the ICTHUS Christian fish or in the shape of the cross.

For anyone with a Celtic background or interested in symbolism, a Celtic Quaich is an unforgettable Christening gift. This two-handled bowl-shaped cup or quaich, pronounced “quake” as in “earthquake”, is a lasting symbol of friendship. Passed from person to person in a toast – most likely of whisky – the quaich is used at most rites of passage from Christenings to weddings and even wakes. The Quaich is often engraved inside the bowl with the Christian name and date of the Christening.

No matter what gift you choose for the little man at his Christening, be sure it is something that will last and be treasured throughout life. And enjoy the shopping … the socks and aftershave aren’t far away.

Richard Hoare is a director of ASSERgerrard Limited, owners of CHRISTENINGsilver the Christening Gifts website where you will find a comprehensive range of Christening Gifts for Boys including, tankards, egg cups, cutlery sets, napkin rings, rattles, jewelery and bibles.

Military Kit and Life Insurance From Abacus

Military Kit and Life Insurance From Abacus

By agreeing to join the military, one also agrees to take up the many risks that military service comes with. And while risk is an inevitable part of military life – and indeed life at large – there are various steps one can take to manage the risk. One of the most widely accepted risk management strategies is taking up insurance.

The risky nature of all military undertakings means that military insurance has to be tailored differently from insurance for the general population. Ordinary insurance companies used to have difficulties with military insurance due to the many facets it come with. As it were, the reality of military risk is such that it cannot be adequately covered by the actuarial modeling used in designing the ordinary insurance packages. This creates an obvious need for specialized military insurance. Consequently, a number of companies specializing in military insurance have come up. One of the leading companies that offer such specialized military insurance is Abacus, which is particularly well known for its services to the united Kingdom military.

One of the products for which Abacus is famous is its military life insurance, which is available to members of all units in the armed forces. Through abacus’ military life insurance, soldiers are assured of peace of mind as they undertake their patriotic duties. Thanks to abacus military life insurance, a soldier is for instance assured that his family is well taken care of even should, God forbid, sudden death come upon them. And while the possibility of sudden death is a reality that all soldiers in active duty find themselves having to live with – and which many accept valiantly – the question of the wellbeing of one’s close family upon such an occurrence is an issue that not many soldiers are willing to leave to chance.  And apart from such sudden demise, abacus military life insurance also covers you in case you are suddenly diagnosed with a critical illness. The basic workings of this insurance is such that if you meet sudden death your family is paid a given amount of money, and if you are diagnosed with a critical illness, you receive a stated amount of money, which can go a long way to help you put your affairs in order, or put up investments which can provide you with an income if the illness makes it hard for you to work.

Another popular military insurance product from Abacus is the military kit insurance. As it were, a soldier’s military kit is one of the things that a soldier is personally responsible form, meaning that one has to replace the kit which – tends to be rather expensive – should it get damaged or lost. Before the advent of military kit insurance, losing one’s military kit would have been a trully terrible occurrence, as it would possibly mean foregoing several months’ pay and going through a lot of financial distress in order to replace the kit. But thanks to military kit insurance, a soldier can now go through their day to day duties without undue worry of losing their military kit. Abacus military kit is designed with a global focus. This means that it covers your military kit, even should it get damaged or lost while on foreign duty. And the Abacus military kit insurance goes beyond the kit itself, to include cover for your military living accomodation, should it get accidentally damaged. Through the Abacus military kit insurance, you have various coverage options, including the ‘all risks’ options, which can make the loss of your military insurance kit totally painless.

Benefits of Installing a Home Water Softener System

Benefits of Installing a Home Water Softener System

If you live in an area that has hard water there are many reasons to add a water softening system to your home. When water has a high content of minerals it is considered hard water. Most commonly this means that there will be high amounts of dissolved calcium and magnesium. Water which is free of minerals other than sodium is considered soft water. When a home has a water supply that is hard there are many negative consequences including soap or shampoo that does not lather well, clothes coming out of the laundry looking dingy, bathroom fixtures which are left with chalky rings, clean glasses that will still show spots and water using appliances like coffee makers suffering from shortened lives.

In some areas chemicals are added to water on a city or water district wide basis to soften water before it reaches household pipes. In an area where this is not done it is up to the homeowner to invest in a water softening system. There are a number of different types of waters softeners for home including reverse osmosis, ion exchanging, chemical, magnetic and electric water softening system installations. Some water softeners will increase sodium levels which is not healthy for some people with heart issues. It is therefore important to choose a water softening system that will best work on the particular water hardness in your areas as well as any special needs you might have.

There are many conflicting claims regarding water hardness and health. Some studies have shown that hard water lead to some cardiovascular illnesses in men. The World Health Organization says that there is no correlation between water hardness and adverse health effects, that these studies had inadequate data.

There is little argument on the positive effects that installing a water softening system will have on washing dishes and doing laundry. Hard water prevents the lathering in soaps and detergents. When water is softened the richer lathers returns, clothes rinse cleaner and the amount of expensive detergents used can be reduced. In dishwasher hard water leaves spotting and residue on glasses and dishes as they dry. The mineral residue that is found on bathtubs or shower walls also is left behind on skin and hair. When a water softening installation is completed hair will feel softer and skin cleaner that it had previously. There is an ecological benefit to be found in the reduction on water usage that follows a change to softer water as well as the reduction in detergents and soaps.

Appliances that use water such as coffee makers, water heaters or even tea kettles will have much longer life spans after there a water softening system is installed. Scaling which is a deposit of calcium and magnesium is left behind as water is heated in these appliances. Pipes can become clogged with this scaling as well which can cause reduced water flow and eventually may lead to pipes needing to be replaced. While there is an expense that must be paid to install a water softener there is tremendous savings that can be realized by not having to repair or replace these items.

Professional Translation Services

Professional Translation Services

Professional Translation Services – Experts Give Tips for Hiring Professional Translation Services

There are literally thousands of agencies out there offering professional translation services, as well as independent translators. How do you choose the right one for you? How do you find the one that will meet your demands, by supplying error-free translations that precisely communicate the meaning of the originaltext ? How can you be sure they will use the glossary and style most suitable for the intended use of the translation and target audience? Experts reveal some pointers that will help you hire the professional translation services that best suit your demands.

first-rate Translators = outstanding Quality

Experts suggest that you hire a translation agency rather than a independent translator, because an agency can ensure quality, like no freelance translator can (unless you know the person, or have references). Agencies hire certified, qualified, and translators with experience who specialize in their fields. They are supposed to demonstrate that they master the needed glossary and abilities to provide an faithful translation and to respect accurately the text, sense, style and purpose of the original text. Agencies also typically have another translator revise, edit, proof, or confirm translation before giving you the finished document.

Not too high, not too low

When considering costs and quotes, consider that if you pay very low prices, you will get what you pay for. Premium quality has its cost. However, first-rate professional translation services don´t necessarily have to cost you a bundle of money. A professional agency will be able to offer competitive prices, while maintaining quality standards.

Experience is the most important factor to consider

You should hire an agency that has years of experience supplying professional translation services, as well as extensive work in the language or field in question. Those that offer professional translation services usually have a number of working languages, as well as translators who are experienced in scientific or technical subjects, translation of legal papers, and medical papers, just to give a few areas of knowledge.

So, when you need to hire professional translation services, make sure you take time to consider all of your options in terms of quality, price, and experience. If your goal is to pay the lowest price possible, sadly a mistake made by many, it might end up costing you more. If the agency you hire does not have experienced translators or maintain quality standards, you will get a translation that is a poor reflection of the source text. Every time someone gets their hands on a mediocre translation it will reflect badly on you and your business. This is why making the right choice is so essential.
