Usage of electric motors in electric cars:
Motor vehicles have been one of the major reasons for creating the air pollution in the city. To avoid the pollution, electric cars have been brought into the market. They look similar like the regular cars but are internally different. In those cars, electric motors are used in place of gasoline engines. Generally AC or DC motors are used in them. AC motors are more difficult to install than the DC motors. Electric cars are environmentally friendly as it runs with the help of the electric motors. The electric motors help to avoid the generation of smoke from the vehicle. They also run silently, avoiding the loud noise from the engine. They are rechargeable and hence cost effective.
The power is generated from the batteries that are used. The controller is the major part of the electric motors, as it transfers the power into the motors from the batteries. It helps in converting the electrical energy into mechanical energy for the acceleration and the power for the vehicle. The process takes place instantly with the help of the potentiometers. Their duty is to measure the power generated from the accelerator and work accordingly.
